BACK IN 1972
In 1972, Youth Services for Oklahoma County was born! The original intent was counseling services for youth involved in the criminal justice system. As the need grew, services and programs grew. In 2018, Youth Services of Oklahoma County rebranded to a vision and mission that better fits the organization.
PIVOT WAS REBORN!
Fifty years later, Pivot’s 12-acre campus on the edge of NE Oklahoma City is home to a Counseling Center, Community Intervention Center in partnership with local law enforcement, DHS-licensed shelter for 12-17-year-olds, emergency shelter for 16-24-year-olds, a medical clinic through a partnership with Variety Care and 26 Tiny Homes and two apartments for young people transitioning into adulthood.
In addition to these core programs, Pivot provides other services including food and clothing, case management services, life skills classes, rapid rehousing services, and education and employment placement.
