A group of visionary leaders established Pivot back in 1972.

 

Pivot’s original services included crisis intervention, individual and family counseling and referrals.

From partnering with law enforcement through
the Community Intervention Center (CIC)
to building Tiny Homes for transition-age youth,
Pivot is innovative in our approach and continues to develop ways to support youth.

BACK IN 2018
We changed our name from Youth Services of Oklahoma County to Pivot, a Turning Point for Youth.

As we focus on youth and their needs, we need to be responsive to where and how they seek assistance.

We believe the change better reflects the work we do and is more welcoming to youth.
